Manchester United are reportedly lining up a £136million double raid on La Liga for two top players Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann.

Both players have been long-term targets for Jose Mourinho and United are not said to be put off by Bale’s continuous injury issues.

Bale is currently sidelined with a thigh injury and has missed an astonishing 40% of Real’s games since joining them from Tottenham in 2013.

United, however, are said to be just waiting for the nod from Bale’s advisers before making a move for the Welshman, according to the report in the Sun on Sunday.

The one potential stumbling block for the Old Trafford club could be that Spurs have first refusal on bringing Bale back to north London.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men were linked with a £60m swoop for Bale last week as they eye a big-money marquee signing to open their new stadium next summer.

As for Griezmann, United are believed to have already spoken to Atletico Madrid about landing the France hitman.

It is widely reported that the 26-year-old wants out next summer, particularly after the Spanish giants sealed Diego Costa’s return from Chelsea.

Mourinho already has a wealth of attacking talent at his disposal but the potential arrival of two of La Liga’s biggest stars would almost certainly lead to Old Trafford exits.

Anthony Martial is one player who would be expected to be sold, despite his improved form this season, while Juan Mata and potentially Henrikh Mkhitaryan could also move on.
