Ross Barkley to Chelsea: First pics of new signing with Lampard's old number at unveiling

ROSS BARKLEY has been officially unveiled as a Chelsea player after completing his move from Everton.

Barkley has joined Chelsea on a five-and-a-half year deal, with the Blues forking out just £15million for the England international.

The 24-year-old is yet to play this season due to a serious hamstring injury, and is not likely to be fully fit for some time yet.

However, Chelsea have handed Barkley the iconic No 8 squad number previously worn by Frank Lampard.

The midfielder posed alongside club director Marina Granovskaia with his new shirt after completing his transfer this afternoon.
